LINGUA FRANCA is an idea that I was ruminating on for months. After drawing over 1,000 characters, this piece sat in my studio until I had the courage to make the first rip. Once I started there was no going back. Destruction became a part of its creation.
I was left with 3 uneven pieces on my studio floor. It was like piecing back together a lost text,—a LINGUA FRANCA of sorts.
